Follows arrested individuals through America’s booking process, offering an extraordinary look at the most unusual, bizarre and often tense bookings. Each episode follows the story of an arrestee, with their permission, as they move through the system and recount what ultimately led them to their time in jail. From petty offenses to serious crimes, viewers will be taken on a harrowing adventure while they watch the arrestees throughout the booking process.

SERA SUN is murdered on a leap night on 29th Feb, with her limbs dismembered and wrapped up in a Japanese Ukiyo-E stocking. Her mother MAY SHAW, spirals into despair and guilt. May blindly holds onto the belief that Sera is murdered by a serial killer. She even imitates a real murder in line with the serial killer’s style. Will vengeance bring peace to May? The "graphic drama" (as described by Saito Productions) which initially premiered in 1971 was produced in the wake of Golgo 13's initial groundswell in popularity from its initial publication in 1968. The anime employed a "scale animation" style whereby the action effects were added onto still and scale images of manga panels prior to filming episodes with sound effects, giving a rough look similar to gekiga manga. In contemporary terms, it's closer to a motion comic with voice acting than a conventional animated work.

Aktenzeichen XY … ungelöst is a German television programme broadcast since October 1967 on ZDF that aims to combat and solve crimes. Until 2003 it was produced in co-operation with the Austrian public service broadcaster ORF and Schweizer Fernsehen, a division of the Swiss public broadcaster SRG SSR idée suisse. It was the basis for the BBC show Crimewatch, the Dutch show Opsporing Verzocht and its US equivalent America's Most Wanted. The goal of the programme is to throw light on unsolved offences with the aid of viewers. Each episode contains three to five short films, each lasting about ten minutes, in which a real criminal case is reconstructed. The cases are mostly complex ones in which the criminals and chains of events are still unknown. In addition cases are discussed in the studio in which, for example, the identities of criminals or unknown murder victims are sought with the aid of a photo. Viewers can use the telephone or Internet to give information. According to a study by the programme's editorial department, about forty percent of cases shown on the programme are solved.
